Richland, WA Formation Clinic - 2026

About this event

By popular request, NATA will finally hold a clinic in the Pacific Northwest.  The Richland Formation Clinic will be held at the Richland, WA airport (KRLD) May 28-31.  Richland is located in gorgeous country almost equidistant from Seattle, Portland and Spokane along the beautiful Columbia River about 50 mi SE of Yakima.

All NATA members are invited to attend the clinic, but only Formation Members are permitted to fly as PIC. Training will be offered in Supported Aircraft Types assuming sufficient resources for each type are available. Other aircraft types may participate in the clinic at the discretion of the Training Officer, but supported aircraft types have scheduling priority. Contact the organizers to confirm aircraft of your type are expected. NATA check rides and QPRs are only conducted in Supported Aircraft Types.

Trainees must review our Formation Training Program before attending, paying particular attention to their specific aircraft requirements and the associated aircraft "Type Supplement." First-time clinic participants may find this Clinic Newbie Checklist useful.

Arrival day is Thursday, May 28th. There will be a ground school Thursday at 1700 with food and drinks provided. Attendance is mandatory for all trainees, but all are encouraged to attend as a lot of new material will be covered. The clinic will kick off with a mandatory safety briefing at 0800 on Friday.
